Rose gardens    

     Rose garden is one of the beautiful locations in munnar. This is at a distance of 13 km away from the munnar city. This garden is in an area of 2 acres. Different kinds of plants are covered in this area. More color full flowers we can see from here .This will give us a heartwarming experience. This garden is named as rose garden but a variety of plants is here. This is a a good location for photo shoots. Near here many plantations like cabbage, bananas, other vegetables and fruits.. Mattupetty Dam

    This is one of the important tourist attractions in Munnar in idukki district. Hydro electricity is producing from here. In the dam location there is the possibility to watch Asiatic elephants here. These elephants were visit the dam site for food and water. This is one of the sightseeing parts. We can walk through the top of the dam. So many shops are also here to purchase different items like toys, tea powder, sweets etc. Bird watching facility also available here.     This is one of the artificial lakes. This place is at a distance of 20 km away from Munnar. This lake sight is very beautiful. Water is available here from the kundala arch dam. Here the facilities like boating, shooting, horse riding facility etc are available. The places surrounding kundala dam is the location of the beautiful neelakurinji. Neelakurinji is the flower which blooms once in 12 years. So many different types of flowers are seen around the dam.

Poovar Island

This is one of the amazing place in Trivandrum.This place is good for backwater tourism. One side of the Island is with river and the other side is with Ocean. The sands are golden color. More variety of animals are here like tiger, leopard, lion, fox, deer, zebra, hippo, Giraffe, buffalo, various kinds of birds, different types of snakes etc. All these animals are fed by the staff members’ .Anaconda is one of the variety snake type here. Stay facility for tourists inside KSRTC buses

 

    Kerala S R T C is providing room facility for tourists inside buses. The tourists can stay inside the bus with low cost .Kerala S R T C is planning to utilize the tourism opportunities. The buses are converted as rooms. Two buses are now ready in Munnar depot now.  At first this will implement in Munnar areas. In the coming tourism season ksrtc will provide this facility at more tourist destinations The berths are similar to that inside a train.

                Inside the bus the berth are covered by using curtains. Air conditioning facility, water purifier, wash basins, dining table, charging point etc are arranged in the buses.16 members can stay inside the bus at a time. This will give a new experience for the tourists. The tourists can utilize separate bathroom facility in the depot. If this will be success full KSRTC is planning to implement more similar facilities in other tourist locations also.

    Here going to introduce a bird sculpture, this is the "largest bird sculpture in the world". This sculpture is installed in a park. The park named as "Jatayu Nature Park". It is at Chadayamangalam.Chadayamangalam is a village in Kollam district at Kerala State. The sculpture is constructed on the basis of the mythology of bird Jatayu.

This bird is from the epic Ramayana. The sculpture length is 200 feet, it’s width is150 feet, it’s height is 70 feet and have floor area 15,000 square feet. This sculpture is situating on the top of a rock which is named as Sree Rama rock has a height of 1200 feet above the sea level.

           

    Jatayu is a bird mentioned in the epic Ramayana .The Ramayana is the story of Sree Rama who was the prince in Ayodhya. Sita, who is the  wife of Sree Rama and another character Ravana, who was the kng of Lanka .Ravana was a demon king.In the story Jatayu witnessed Sita being kidnapped by Ravana .Jadayu tried to save Sita from Ravana. The bird stood in front of Ravana to stop him. Jatayu spread it’s wings and tried to block Ravana. But Ravana cut the bird’s wing and Jatayu fell on a rock. It is believed that the bird fell at Chadayamangalam in Kerala state. The place was formerly named Jatayumangalam.

 

    An adventure center is here. This adventure center is a combination of different fields of information like mythological, artistry, cultural, technological, adventure, gaming, enjoyment, etc. A virtual reality museum and the a magic show facility inside a theater are arranged here, which tells the story of Jatayu. This will make the place more attractive.

            Rajiv Anchal, who is a film director in Malayalam industry and his experienced co workers, installed this jatayu sculpture here. This sculpture can be considered as a tribute to women’s safety. This will honor them also. Inside the statue an exhibition facility is there. This exhibition shows the complete story of Ramayana. Kottukkal cave temple
