as the world’s largest bird sculpture.This is the sculture of the bird Jatayu
from the epic Ramayana. This sculpture is made on the top of a big rock. This

Thenmala eco
tourism.
This is one of
the best eco friendly tourism location. This place is 66 kilometer from
Kollam.This place is located in the Kollam Schencotta road. Nearest railway
station is Schencotta. Thenmala dam is there. This dam has a height of 280
foot. It is used for hydropower. It was opened in the year 1986. Will get a beautiful
view fro the top of the dam.. A leisure zone is here. Leisure zone is the part of the forest and

is a beach at Kollam city. It is known as Mahatma Gandhi Beach. This beach is
4km from Kollam city. Nearest air port is Trivandrum and nearest railway
station is Kollam. It is one of the best wedding destinations. This beach
contains a park.This is Mahatma Gandhi park.This beach has a life guard out
post. Kollam is famous cashew trading location. In the beach a light house is
present which has a height of 45m.It is said as Thangasseri light house. From
the beach will get a very beautiful view of the Arabian sea. It is possible to
watch sun set from here. This beach is use to play football and badminton. This

Kottukkal cave

place in Kollam district. This place is in the ittiva in Chadayamangalam. A
rock cut cave is here. A "cave temple" is here. The hill looks like a sitting elephant. This rock cut
has two caves. These caves are facing towards the east. The cave temple is for
to Lord Shiva.One of the cave contain a mukha mandapam with pillars.The other
cave will opened towards a sanctum. There is a well is there in the cave
temple,the water in the well will not dried out.This is a very beautiful

Palaruvi waterfalls
This is one of the beautiful waterfalls in Kollam
district Kerala. Palaruvi water fall is in the 32 nd position on the basis of
height compared with the other water falls in India. Palaruvi waterfalls
are coming from a height of 300 feet. This is situated at Aryankavu in the
Kollam district in Kerala State. Freshness of water is a specialty here .For
families it is really a good place to visit. Large number of tourists is
visiting here and takes bath under the water. From Aryankavu the tourism
department is providing van facility to travel to this place. The journey is
